FROG GUARD - BODY BUTTER

1. What is Frog Guard™ ?

A leave-on body butter made with 99.3 % naturally derived ingredients. When you swipe it across clean, dry skin it melts on contact, creating a light, breathable layer that helps keep skin clean, comfortable, and well-conditioned. It is a cosmetic, not a drug, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease.

2. How is it different from a lotion, balm, or soap?

  • Soap is a cleanser you rinse off; Frog Guard stays on.
  • Lotions/creams are water-based and often come in a pump; Frog Guard is an anhydrous simi solid butter, no mess, no spill.
  • Ointments are thick and can clog pores; Frog Guard goes on dry and sheer, so it won’t feel greasy or clog pores.

3. Who is Frog Guard designed for?

Anyone whose hands and feet take a beating. Nurses, martial artist, runners, package handlers, delivery drivers, outdoor enthusiasts, teachers, manicurists, gardeners, or people who want a simple way to keep their hands and feet feeling healthy and moisturized without feeling greasy.

4. Can it be used daily?

Yes. It’s formulated for everyday use. As with any new product, do a small patch test first.

5. What is the pH of the Frog Guard body butter?

Because the butter is water-free, it doesn’t have a true pH until it mixes with your skin’s moisture. In standardized slurry tests it falls in the skin-friendly range of about 5.5 – 6.5.

6. How do I apply it?

  1. Start with clean, dry skin.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer over areas that need attention (feet, hands, nails, cuticles).
  3. Allow a few seconds for the layer to absorb and dry before dressing.
  4. Frog Guard is not intended for face, eyes, or sensitive skin. Do not take orally.
  5. Always patch test on a small area before first use.
  6. Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredient in Frog Guard.

7. Is Frog Guard safe for sensitive skin?

We’ve formulated it with gentle, natural ingredients like shea butter and colloidal oatmeal, which can be soothing for most skin types. However, because it contains essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, neem), we recommend patch testing if you have sensitive or allergy-prone skin.

8. How often and when should I use it?

Apply daily on clean dry hands, nails, and feet. You may also reapply after washing.

9. Can I use it on both face and body?

Yes. Gently spread a very thin layer if using on the face, and avoid the eye area, lips, and any broken skin or delicate skin. Always patch test before first use.

10. Will it prevent ringworm and other issues?

Frog Guard helps keep skin dry and forms a surface environment that is less welcoming to the fungi and bacteria commonly found on gym mats, doorknobs, packages, and on other people's hands. However, it has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA for disease prevention. Good hygiene and prompt medical care remain essential for keeping skin and nails healthy.

11. Is it safe for animals?

Frog Guard is not intended for use on animals. Our EO's are at the lowest levels recommended for use on sensitive human skin but even though it is in the GRAS zone it is still not recommended for use on animals. However, we will be offering a Pet Safe version. Stay tuned.

12. Why does my Frog Guard have little bumps on the surface?

Frog Guard is made with natural waxes, butters, and oils that can occasionally form small bumps or crystals on the surface. This is called fat bloom or wax beading, and it happens when the product experiences natural temperature shifts during shipping, storage, or cooling. These bumps are cosmetic only, and they do not affect safety, texture once applied, or effectiveness.

13. Is it safe for children?

For external use only. Frog Guard uses less than the amount of EO's advised for sensitive skin however children have much more sensitive skin than adults and you should use caution when applying any new product to their delicate skin. See our safety warning below.

Not recommended for infants or children under 8 years of age. Children 8 and above should use only with adult supervision and after a patch test on a small area of skin. Always use the smallest amount necessary.

Consult a healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have sensitive skin conditions.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, broken skin, and mucous membranes.
